Advanced Training Meets All-day Activity Tracking
Forerunner 920XT is composed of high-end training features fitted into a stylish watch that is water-resistant and lighter than its former multisport watch which is the Forerunner 910XT.It possess a high-resolution color display; flexible, hinged bands and a watch mode, that you switch into so that you can wear it all day. It also has an activity tracker functionality, which can track steps, sleep and calories burned all day, providing you a summary of your daily routine.
Dive In
The FR920XT features two different swim-specific modes: Openwater and pool. Both modes can track detailed swim metrics, including distance, pace, stroke count, stroke rate and swolf score. It has a swim drill mode, which allows you to complete drills and then specify a total yardage/distance at the end of the drill section and a swim rest timer that allows you to better time intervals by showing you your resting time and interval time. You can create alerts which you can customize to help in your drills.
Crank Up Your Training
The Forerunner 920XT works with ANT+ sensors that can gauge your cycling metrics, such as speed, cadence and heart rate which is useful for those who are into advanced training or workout. It also supports ANT+ power meters which you can access power meter metrics from ANT+ power meters. When used with a heart rate and a power meter, Forerunner 920 can gauge your VO2 max estimate, that can help you check changes in your fitness. You can also check your stats with Garmin Connect segments. For every ride that you've accomplished and uploaded to Garmin Connect, you'll be able to view your rank on the segment leaderboard.
Perfect Your Running Form
Based on the same technology available in our Forerunner 620 and fēnix™ 2, forerunner 920 now features running dynamics data for a dedicated multisport watch. When paired with the HRM-Run™ monitor, it allow you to track your cadence, vertical oscillation and ground contact time. It also has metronome feature, enables you to have the unit automatically beep or buzz to a specific running cadence.
Advanced Heart Rate-based Features
Forerunner 920XT presents additional options when used with a heart rate monitor. It can provide recovery metrics such as recovery check that lets you know how well recovered you are from your previous run and recovery time which indicates how long before you should attempt another hard effort. It can estimate your VO2 max for running when used with a HRM strap. It can also measure your VO2 max for cycling when used with a heart rate monitor and a power meter.
You can extend your training underwater using Forerunner 920XT and pairing it with HRM-Tri or HRM-Swim. HRM-Swim is highly recommended for pool training with its unique, non-slip design that stays in place, even during wall push offs while the HRM-Tri’s soft strap design is as comfortable out of water as it is underwater which makes it suitable for those who are doing triathlons or triathlon-related workouts.
Garmin Connect
You can also access a wide array of features when connected in Garmin Connect, our free online community where you can save, review, plan and share your completed activites where each leg and transition time is saved and combined into one file for easy viewing and sharing.
There are several ways to sync your data with Garmin connect. You can use Bluetooth® technology on your smartphone to transfer data through the Garmin Connect™ Mobile app You can also set up one or more Wi-Fi® hot spots, and the 920XT will automatically sync with Garmin Connect when in range. Or use a USB connection to sync with your desktop.
It has a live tracking service that enables you to connect to your cell phone and transmit your location to a website that allows friends and family to follow you real-time. You can also view your email, text, and other alerts via smart notifications on your watch when paired with a compatible Android™ or Apple® device. You can also instantly upload your completed workouts when the Forerunner 920XT is paired with your phone and the Garmin Connect App.
